Billy's dad is a bandit with a great reputation and is very worried about his boy's future: will he be able to become a proper bandit? The father decides to test him. Here Billy finds himself facing a little worm. «Paws up!» Billy orders, pointing the empty gun at him. «But I don't have legs» protests the worm. «Yes, it's true. Patience» replies Billy. Under a tree Billy sees a little mouse resting. «Paws up!» Billy orders her. “What legs?” the little mouse replies. «The ones in front? The ones in the back?” Billy has found a new friend, but still no one to test his bandit skills with. Luckily a big and hungry fox will solve his problem.

In the form of characters or story lamps, the heroes of l’école des loisirs escape from books to become real companions to cuddle and to develop the imagination of young children by encouraging them to tell their own stories.
