Billy è un piccolo criceto intraprendente e determinato a conquistare l’ammirazione del suo papà, un famoso bandito. Così, quando il papà mostra al figlio il proprio lazo, lo stesso con il quale ha catturato un sacco di prede, Billy non resiste alla tentazione di provarlo. Ma c’è solo un modo per dimostrare a papà d’essere un figlio DAVVERO in gamba, cioè catturare l’unico animale su cui papà non è riuscito a mettere la zampe: il bisonte. Peccato che il bisonte sia un bestione grande, robusto e velocissimo. Nemmeno con tutto il coraggio del mondo, nemmeno con molta astuzia, nemmeno con l’aiuto dei suoi migliori amici, Billy riuscirà mai a catturare un bisonte. Quello che serve, è un gesto di generosità.
